Cortex Aroides

Cortex Aroides

Collector aroids, propagated from established mother plants.

Why we’re building this

Cortex Aroides started with Fede and a simple idea: plants are better when you share them.

He’s passionate about plants, and he wanted to meet other people who feel the same way and would love to talk about them, swap stories and share what they’ve learned.

We’re only just getting started, so this site is small for now. Think of it as a first hello, and a place to meet people who care about plants as much as we do.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

The collection

Aroids are the plants with the leaves people stop for: split, velvety, silver-veined, oversized. These are the groups we grow.

Monstera

Climbers with split, fenestrated leaves, from classic forms to rarer collector selections.

Philodendron

Velvet, glossy and deeply lobed leaves, in climbing and self-heading habits.

Anthurium

Heart-shaped and velvet foliage, and the colorful spathes the family is known for.

Alocasia

Sculptural, high-contrast leaves with bold veining.

What is available changes as cuttings root and plants mature. Join the waitlist to hear first.

Every plant starts with a mother plant.

Our collection is built around mother plants: established specimens we keep healthy and propagate from.

That way a cutting has a known parent, and you can see what it grows into.
